THE USE OF WOULD ALWAYS
10:17:00 am
Hello everyone!
Today we're gonna learn about the use of Would Always.
So, this is a part of grammar. That's why it's very important, I think.
next time you're doing an English test *haha* or when people asked you something about this, you can answer and explain it easily x
Would always is not exactly the same as "used to" or the simple past. Would always cannot be used to talk about past facts or generalizations. It can only be used for repeated actions.
To understand more, read and study the examples below.
- He would always send me strange messages.
- Louis would not always walk to college. He sometimes drove the car.
- Ashley would always read a novel once a week.
- Tom would not always come on time for the party. He came late sometimes.
Would always can be used as an active or passive sentence.
- My wife would always make the cookies (This is an active sentence).
- The cookies would always made by my wife (The passive sentence from the active sentence above).
English speakers often use would forever, would constantly, would often, or just a simply would. Similarly, speakers can use "would rarely," "would occasionally" and "would seldom" to express the idea that an action was not often repeated.
That's how we should use "would always" correctly and I hope this will help you guys a lot ^^
Have a great day!!
